AMULANCE: New Music Posted Online
April 14, 2008Cult metal band AMULANCE has posted a couple of new tracks on its MySpace page.
Bassist Thom Braddish states, "after the [recent] flood [at Phlex Audio where the group has been mixing its latest album], we got a bunch of e-mails from people trying to convince us to keep going, I thought, 'What the fuck are you talking about? it was just water, of course we are moving forward.'"
Drummer Tony DiVozzo adds, "I've had drum students of mine coming up to me wondering if the new album was going to come out or not It's important for everyone to know that we survived that crazy fucking flood."
AMULANCE had mixed 12 of the 27 tunes the band had recorded for the new album before their studio was flooded.
"There is no doubt that flood caused a setback," states guitarist Vince Varriale, "but, that doesn't mean all is lost." Varriale continues, "I don't know if we are going to release all of the mixed tunes, or not; maybe we will put out an EP for now and release a new full album later this year. We don't know yet, offers are still being discussed."
AMULANCE has confirmed for this year's installment of the Headbangers Open Air festival, set to take place July 24-26, 2008 in Brande-Hrnerkirchen, Germany.
